January Bark hike video
Two dozen people participated in the January Bark About to the proposed Nestle water bottling plant site and its spring source in the scenic Columbia River Gorge.

Pristine waters of Oxbow springs Nestle is seeking to privatize for their use.
Oxbow Fish Hatchery dependent upon nearby Oxbow springs.
Nestle has proposed to build a new bottled water plant in the town of Cascade Locks on the Columbia River. Nestle seeks to bottle the water from Oxbow Springs, which is currently used as the only water source for a fish hatchery specializing in the rearing of threatened and endangered fish.
On the hike, after a brief introduction by Lori Ann Burd of Bark, Julia DeGraw from Food and Water Watch described the proposal and its potential environmental and social consequences.
