Bark Field Trip to the Tilly Jane historic trail on the east side of Mt. Hood, to view the damage and recovery from the 2008 Gnarl Ridge Fire.
Despite the intensity of the fire, the forest was already beginning to recover, less than a year later. It was a beautiful day, there was still snow on the ground, which provided sharp contrast to the burned trees.
