Video: Last Days to Comment on Nestle Bottling Plant Proposal
Event recently held in Downtown Portland Oregon to inform people about the Oregon State Water Department public comment period regarding Nestle's attempt to bottle spring water in the Columbia Gorge, near Cascade Locks.
The comment period ends on September 30, 2010.
Concerned citizens gathered at Pioneer Square and circled
the block while dancing the Macarena to draw attention to the issue. Julia McGraw of Food and Water Watch explained the issue to the crowd and the importance of encouraging the State Agency to turn down the Nestle Water Exchange proposal.
