Volunteers Clean up Wildcat Mountain
In the span of three short hours, volunteers collected and removed more than 6,000 pounds of trash from Wildcat Mountain in Mt. Hood National Forest.
On June 11th, volunteers gathered with Clackamas County Forest Dump Stoppers & the USFS Zigzag Ranger District to honor National Get Outdoors Day by cleaning up Wildcat Mountain. Approximately 40 youth & adults worked in three different groups. Volunteers came from various areas of Clackamas County including many from the Firwood CPO/Wildcat Mtn. Dr area, Oregon Equestrian Trails, US Forest Service & Clackamas County employees and families. In three hours they collected & removed 5880 lbs of solid waste, 200 lbs of scrap metal, & approximately 70 lbs of recyclables from the Mt. Hood National Forest. WAY TO GO!
