Special Alert: Nestle Application Approved

Dear Barker,

The Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) just approved two applications necessary for Nestlé to take and bottle our water in the Columbia River Gorge. This decision is one step in a process that would result in Nestlé pumping 100 million gallons of Mt. Hood's water out of the forest and into 266 million plastic bottles every year. But it's not too late to stop this project -- there are two things you can do to help us today!

Please take action today to demand that the Governor meet with us to hear our side of the issue!

Bark and the Keep Nestlé Out of the Gorge Coalition have helped Oregonians send more than 10,000 comments to Governor Kitzhaber opposing the project and asking the state to take a stand against the privatization of our public water. Now, more than ever, we need your help to ensure that Governor Kitzhaber isn't turning a blind eye to the overwhelming public opposition to Nestle's proposal.
